Lawrence County Transit Demand Response Service


Demand Response ServiceDemand response service is a form of transportation provided by the Lawrence County Transit (LCT) that is available to anyone in the public.

  • LCT provides door to door service to any destination.

  • Trip hours of operation are 6:30am-5:30pm.

  • Saturday and Sunday, if driver is available.

  • LCT administrative office hours are Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30pm

  • For most local trips, LCT charges $2.00 per mile.

  • Fares for long distance trips will be negotiated.

  • Drivers will not make cash change for fares.

  • Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance and trips can be reserved 14 days in advance.

  • LCT adheres to a five minute wait policy. If the passenger does not show within 5 minutes, the driver will leave. Riders are encouraged to call within one hour of the schedules time to cancel.

  • One adult Personal Care Attendant (PCA) can ride with a customer who requires a PCA. The PCA will not be charged a fare, but the rider will be charged the standard fare. Both must be picked up and dropped off at the same address.

  • No smoking, eating or drinking.

  • All vehicles are handicap accessible and are FTA regulated.

  • All drivers meet all FTA certifications.
